Causes Of Mold Allergies And Its Symptoms
Mold is usually identified as the yellowish or greenish material that develops when we do not throw away organic substances.
Mold allergy is just one of the many types of allergies that are known today. Unlike other types of allergies that are prominent in the spring season, mold allergies can develop during anytime of the year. This is due to the fact that mold can develop anywhere and any time.
Mold is capable of multiplying in number, which produced millions of pores. These pores are the main cause of allergies. Since the pores are microscopic it is very difficult to avoid exposure and become immune to them. These spores are capable of finding a way around the body's defensive apparatus, and settling in our respiratory organs.
Mold allergy attack is more severe when people consume food that has been processed by fungi such as cheese. Some dried fruits and mushrooms, and foods like vinegar, and soy sauce further aggravate the allergy attack.
Allergy from mold, or asthma caused by mold allergies normally occurs between spring and the end of fall. Summer is the time during which mold season is at its peak. During cool temperatures some molds are latent and dwell that way until they are exposed to high temperatures, which will enable them to multiply again.
Presence of moisture ensures that mold will grow. Damp closets, refrigerators, mattresses, garbage, etc are some of the places that you need to keep an eye on for mold growth.
What can you do to ensure that mold growth in your house is at a minimum? Make sure that all spaces are ventilated. Also, regularly air out objects that attract mold.
Cladosporium and Alternaria are the most common types of molds that thrive in the United States. These mold species far surpass the amount of pollen present in the air. Mold is worse than pollen since they can survive both indoors and outdoors. Another unfortunate characteristic of mold is that they are very tricky to get rid of in their initial stages. In most cases it is only possible to detect the presence of mold only after they are fully developed and give out a foul smell. This is normally an indication that the amount of mold in the air has attained maturity and has reached unhealthy levels.
Long-term exposure to mold can cause allergies and other diseases such as lung disease o asthma. It is better to consult your family care physician if you notice any sudden coughing or other symptoms. It is imperative to get the problem checked out immediately instead of prolonging the situation. You might have to go through a series of tests and X-rays, and in some cases, blood sampling. At the end you might thank yourself for being sensible enough taking care of the problem in the initial stages.
In conclusion, mold allergies might be temporary. However, it is still not something that you can ignore, lest it can develop into a full-blown problem.

Landlord/tenant, mold problems...can i sue?
We have been renting a home since June, in September there was a mold problem from a pipe in the garage. Our landlord ripped up the wall and left it exposed for two weeks mold and all. I am pregnant and at the time my son was 13 months old. (btw, has asthma and eczema) We had a mold tester come in today and everything in the walls were bad. And he was upset about the walls being opened and exposing us to it when we were living in the home. We have had problems with every room in the house with mold in the corners, even with me cleaning it everyday. I found mold in my closet yesterday that ruined 3/4 of my shoes. Can I sue for him not taking care of the problem and for us paying rent in an unhealthy dangerous environment? I just want our money back.

Professional mold testers, do the results include what types of mold?
We are going to have our rental home tested for mold, by professionals that are doing air samples. Do these test results include what types of mold or is it just the presence of mold?

we bought a brand new home about a year ago and now i can smell mold in our walls...what can we do?
Its a brand new home we've had it for a year and i can smell some seriouse mold i the bathroom walls but nothing i can see...i really dont know what to do and what if the people that we bought the house from dont fix it then what ?.... i know its mold cause i bought one of those home mold testers....
we bought staight from the builders...and when we moved in they didnt turn on the septic and the water backed up in our house all they did was replace the carpet (they really didnt want to do that.) but they didnt check for water damage or anything the master bath is buy our spare bedroom and thats the bedroom they replaced the carpet in...(they didnt check for any water damage AT ALL!) and when we told the builders that we have mold from that all they said was "well were busy with other projects and we'll come out there when were done in 3 weeks.... were not messy people at all weve never had an over flowing toilet or bathtub i keep it very clean....i really dont know if we should still stay here cause i scared the mold might hurt my 12 month old
