Mold Symptoms-Not to be taken lightly

Dust AllergyMolds are small microscopic organisms and form a part of the nature. These molds are fungi that live on animal and plant matter. The molds are present in huge number of species and help in the breakdown of organic matter such as leaves, soil and foods. This breakdown of the dead material results in the recycle of the nutrients in the environment. The best place for the molds to grow is humid and damp conditions reproducing by making spores that in turn are spread through water, air and insects. These molds can cause serious allergic reactions to those who are highly sensitive and can create serious problem if they grow in buildings. There are numerous kinds of molds however the most common being toxic molds, allergenic molds and black molds.

The molds are around us all the time and as they are micro organisms they are invisible to the naked eye. These even come in different colors most commonly in white, black and green. The molds are continuously producing and releasing pores and hence can cause allergies. Some common symptoms to mold exposure are eye irritation, cough, throat irritation, headache, skin irritation, difficulty in breathing and sinus congestion. The mold symptoms may be different for every person and can also differ in terms of intensity.

When a person is attacked by molds, initially he suffers from itching in the eyes, cough, rashes in the various body parts, nasal congestion and wheezing. However, if the person suffering from such allergy does not get himself diagnosed then this allergy may lead to serious mental problem as well. A main symptom for mold allergy is the person having a terror in his mind for damp and moldy houses. This may lead in hampering in getting a sound sleep as the problem increases during the night.

People who suffer from mold allergies may also feel changes in their way of thinking. Excessive fear, depression and rapid increase in the pulse rate are also some mold symptoms. People may get panicked resulting in unmatchable heartbeat and even suffer from fits of energy loss. A sudden shudder from just the thought of a physical activity and pain in body's major joints leading to arthritis also are strong mold symptoms. The appearance of a problem in the stomach associated with the Irritable Bowels Syndrome is also mold symptom.

If a person is an asthmatic patient then the mold allergy can become a serious problem for him. The symptom of this is if for a person acute coughing and short breathes are accompanied by difficulty in taking rest and in lying down. The person may feel restless due to the inability to breath. This may result in being highly painful and dangerous and will require an immediate assistance of a doctor.

The suffering from the mold allergy can be for different durations depending upon the place where a person is staying and the weather. If the mold allergy is due to the outdoor molds then it may continue for even a year. However the allergy can only be for some months if it is due to indoor molds. These symptoms can be noticed effectively during rainy and damp season or when a person suffering form mold allergy visits a place highly concentrated with molds.

Annoying Dust Allergies?
I have this really really annoying sensitivity to dust I know that anyone will react to dust but seriously, even the slightest disturbance (opening closet, moving things around the desk, picking up clothes from the floor) makes my eyes go insane They get all watery and crazy itchy. Then it becomes really sore and red from rubbing Does anyone have any solution for this? I read somewhere that you shouldn't use eye drops for a long period of time so I don't want to have to do that. Thxx!

Why does my dust allergies last for at least 3 days?
l accidentally opened the wrong cupboard which is full of dust and it ended up going in my face and l breathed in because it was unexpected. A few minutes after l started getting all congested and kept sneezing, getting watery eyes and itchy throat. ln the morning, it was a little bit better but it got worse again throughout the day. l had a cold 2 weeks ago so there's no way it could be that! This has happened before when l was near dust. lt lasts for 3 days with sneezing, congested sinuses and itchy throat! Why is this? l've tried sinus relief tablets and hayfever meds but nothing is working.

Do dust allergy bedding products work?
I've been suffering with terrible sinus problems for years. Last week I finally got to see a specialist surgeon who, to cut a long story short, told me there was nothing that could be done surgically - but an allergy test proved I was allergic to dust mites. I've seen various products available, and although a dust allergy is almost impossible to combat (due to it being everywhere), would investing in specialist dust mite proof bedding/pillows etc help combat my problem enough to justify spending money on these products?

Allergy tests revealed only an allergy to dust. The doctor thought ...
